TOTO WALK 2025

We hope you can join us! 

What: 2025 Toto Walk, Casual Gathering of Cairn Terriers & Their Owners, We will go for a short walk together on the Kalama Waterfront. Last year we had 40 Cairn Terriers in attendance! (We believe this is the largest Cairn Terrier meet up in the states!) Meet relatives of your dogs, enjoy the Parade afterwards, and outdoor dining available with your dogs at McMenamins

When: 9:30AM July 12th

Who: All Cairn Terrier Lovers & Cairn Terrier Owners Welcome. The city of Kalama is hosting celebrations & events this day so there will be vendors & fun to be had for all!

Dog friendly places to stay?:

We highly recommend the Kalama Harbor Lodge! If you are flying in to PDX (Portland International Airport) The lodge is located about 30 minutes North of Portland, Oregon. There are countless fun things to do between Kalama, WA and Portland, OR come vacation in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We generally have mild, bug free summers. Along the river you can feel a nice breeze even on a hot day. 

How to prepare my Cairn Terrier?

This is an exciting event for you Cairn to see so many of their cousins! Be prepared for a group photograph at 9:30 AM SHARP. We recommend brushing up on your leash manners, rewarding your cairn for attention, and be ready to use an enticing treat to keep them from barking. (40 Cairns barking excitedly pre-walk is quite the commotion!)

Will the Northwest Cairn Terrier Crew Be there?

Yes we will! We love saying Hi to everyone that comes, and we will have some of the dogs from our breeding program with us to meet as well. This is a great time to say  hello and see some of our dogs in person. 

What is the Park Like?

The walking paths are paved and ADA accessible. There are covered seating areas, and benches. They can not be reserved in advance and are first come first served. If you would like to sit to visit please plan to bring a lawn chair or snag an unoccupied park bench.
