"THEY WANTED ME TO LET YOU KNOW, TOP KNOTCH!"
"I wanted to thank you. We went to the vet this morning . . . they were very impressed by your puppy packet and all that you had done for the puppies. They thought you were a responsible breeder and they were impressed . . . They wanted me to let you know, top knotch! It's more then appreciated on our end. " ~ Lorri (Jonesy Bird's Pawrent)
OUR STORY
We’ve always had a mix of dogs on the farm—hunting dogs, rescues, and plenty of little terriers to keep things lively. Our first Cairn Terrier came to us on the recommendation of our veterinarian, who knew we’d love their spunky, affectionate terrier personality and appreciate how hardy and healthy the breed tends to be.
When we went looking for a second Cairn, we were surprised by how few breeders were open and welcoming to a responsible pet home. That experience really inspired us to create the kind of program we wished we had found. I’ve always been drawn to animal husbandry—studying and working as a certified veterinary technician, raising and training horses, and rescuing just about anything with hooves, paws, or wings—so raising our own little “Toto dogs” felt like a natural fit.
Since then, we’ve had the joy of meeting many wonderful Cairn Terrier breeders who have welcomed us into the community. We’ve learned so much from them and are truly enjoying the adventure of getting involved in the show ring.
Now, more than a decade later, our program has grown into a close-knit group of friends who feel like family. We’re passionate about continually improving our care, our breeding practices, and the relationships we build. One of our greatest joys is connecting with families from all over the country and helping them welcome a Cairn Terrier into their hearts and homes.
